We're running very low on hay. Last year first day on pasture was May 2nd... We won't make that this year.

Brutal. We were supposed to get snow last night but it didn’t get quite cold enough so we just got really cold rain

Same here. I got veeery sideways at a very slow speed on my way to the barn this morning because I swapped off the winters 2 weeks ago.

I keep forgetting the rest of the country doesn’t tend to get snow in April.
I think we just had our last snow, though, at least for the front range. Our ten day forecast has 80's in it.

We have a chance of frozen precipitation in Houston today as well! Hail!
Low chance, appears that it will hit mostly north. Otherwise overcast, 80, and 200% humidity.

We've gotten more snow in April than we did in March.

We got hail yesterday, for like 10 minutes.

our ext e nded forecast calls for nothing over 50F and another chance of snow this weekend. I mean, we’re North, but we’re only at about 11 00 feet elevation. We’re down to about two weeks of hay left for the sheep.

since we live on dirt, I’ ve still got the winters on for mud, but I’m not pleased. The extended forecast calls out a cha n ce for more snow this weekend, we’re running very low on hay. G onna have to buy some in if it keeps going like this.

yuck. I’d almost rather have the 20 degrees and snow... but then again the wind sucks and we need our pastures to grow befo re we run out of hay.

Our roads are gravel so I usually try to not to leave the winters too long as the roads/driveways eat up the tires when the temps climb, especially with how I drive. Our work is mostly indoors so the lingering winter isn’t too much of a bother for us yet. If it ends up having a significant effect on the growing season for crops it may affect our feed prices near the end of the year if farmers plant less corn than usual.

yeah... I’m hoping for a good hay year. We bought that JD baler this year, it would be nice to be able to sell some extra to help make the payments.
Our roads are oldschool dirt, not much gravel in them at all, so they don’t eat tires so bad... but I have lived on packed gravel, and they sure can chew up that soft winter rubber.

We had a lot of snow in March, but we’ve burned more firewood in April.
